Who We Are
A boundary-breaking hub that explores and shares the complexity of the American Jewish Experience with scholars, students, and the public.
The Stuart and Suzanne Grant Center for the American Jewish Experience is a research-driven center advancing scholarship and public understanding of the American Jewish experience. As a hub for collaborative, interdisciplinary inquiry, the Center generates new knowledge and strengthens American Jewish Studies as a field through scholarly projects, publications, national convenings, and partnerships with academic and cultural institutions.
Our work unfolds in shared spaces of inquiry where scholars and public voices come together to explore historical depth and contemporary resonance. Rooted in intellectual rigor and historical perspective, the Center’s initiatives extend across history, literature, sociology, cultural studies, and related fields to produce work of lasting significance.
The Grant Center builds on Tulane University’s strengths and its distinctiveness as a site of cultural and intellectual exchange. By anchoring research that bridges disciplines and connects to broader conversations about American life, the Center serves as a trusted forum for scholarship that matters beyond the academy.
