Award-winning film to have its Louisiana premiere at The Broad Theater on Monday, March 9 at 7pm with the filmmaker in person for a Q&A.

The Broad Theater is thrilled to present the Louisiana Premiere of the award-winning documentary feature AMONG NEIGHBORS on March 9, 2026. The film will be followed by an in-person Q&A with filmmaker Yoav Potash.

In AMONG NEIGHBORS, hand-drawn animation brings the past to life as an eyewitness to murder and a Holocaust survivor reveal their nation’s darkest secret. Produced and directed by filmmaker Yoav Potash (Crime After Crime, Sundance Film Festival) and Executive Produced by Anita Friedman (JFCS, The Koret Foundation) AMONG NEIGHBORS is an evocative and heart-pounding murder mystery with urgent political relevance.

The San Francisco Chronicle calls the film “remarkable,” the Jewish Journal calls it “masterful,” and The Hollywood Reporter declares that the “dreamlike animation technique holds its own with the likes of modern documentary classics such as Waltz with Bashir.”

As has been reported by The San Francisco Chronicle, the office of the Polish president is attempting to ban the film. In response, the AMONG NEIGHBORS team has brought the film to more theaters, film festivals, and other venues worldwide, and the filmmaker has stepped up his media appearances, including a recent segment on CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper

The event at The Broad will celebrate free speech, freedom of the press, and honest inquiry into a crucial chapter of human history.

The post-film Q&A with filmmaker Yoav Potash at The Broad Theater will be moderated by Golan Y. Moskowitz, PhD, Associate Professor of Jewish Studies and Catherine and Henry J. Gaisman Faculty Fellow at Tulane University, School of Liberal Arts.
