Dodd Loomis has 17 years experience Writing, Directing, Producing and Production Managing Live Entertainment around the world. Dodd has opened shows, which have played to literally millions of audience members, in 38 countries across 5 continents. For the last 2 years Dodd was the Senior Producer of Live Events for the nationally recognized events company Solomon Group, writing and producing such shows as the Times Square New Years Even Ball Drop and the fan engagement series for College Football Playoffs. Before that, Dodd spent 4 years with The Walt Disney Company opening the 36 tractor trailer musical and most successful stage production of all time, The Lion King, in 47 cities across Canada, Mexico and The United State, playing over 2,500,000 thrilled audience members. Before Disney, Dodd Produced at Lincoln Center, bringing choral music groups, ballet companies and Bon Odori, traditional Japanese dancers, from cities across Japan to sold out American audiences. Before Lincoln Center, Dodd was the Production Manager of the Pulitzer Prize nominated and 3 time Tony nominated production of The Gospel At Colonus, featuring 5 time Emmy Award winners The Blind Boys of Alabama, which played at the 5000 seat Odeon Theatre at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece among numerous other International venues. For 3 years, from conception through production, Dodd served as the Assistant Director for the largest Broadway production of all time ($75M), Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark, helmed by 3 time Tony Award winner Julie Taymor and Rock legends Bono and the Edge. Theatrical plays that Dodd has Written and then Directed have toured Ireland, Australia, Brazil, Russia, Israel, Scotland, and Off-Broadway.
